iPad fans around the world are looking forward to putting their hands on iPad 2. And they can achieve their goal on March 25. On Tuesday Apple confirmed that it will launch iPad 2 internationally on March 25 in 25 countries.
As the press release mentioned on Apple official website, 25 countries are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Great Britain and so on.
The iPad 2 will go on sale online at 1 a.m. local time on March 25 and at Apple Stores and authorized resellers at 5 p.m. local time the same day. The devices will bear the same suggested retail prices as their U.S. counterparts, in the respective currencies of those countries: $499, $599, and $699 for the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB Wi-Fi models respectively, and $629, $729, and $829 for the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G models.
The announcement just breaks the rumor that Apple is facing the shortage of iPad 2 key components, because of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. It seems though Apple has been affected by Japan earthquake and tsunami a little bit, it still can handle it. Unfortunately, the launch of iPad 2 in Japan is delayed. And details information for the future launch has not been given yet.
